The Experimental RD 21 chair was launched at the Salone del Mobile 2009 in collaboration with Plusdesign Gallery. The hand woven plastic chair was created by Richard Liddle’s in a limited run of 21 pieces.
Produced in the UK from recycled domestic plastic waste, the unique chair explored the tooling process and technical experimentation of recycled plastics.
The design took its place as one of nine new design objects especially created by international artists and designers for Milan’s Plusdesign gallery. Plusdesign is a contemporary gallery and unique brand dedicated to contemporary design.
2009's range included products in 21 limited editions by artists and designers with an experimental vocation. These include works by Fernando and Humberto Campana, Richard Hutton, Falvio Favelli, Anila Rubiku, Robert Orchardson, Francesco Simeti and Valentina Ravara, Luca Trevisani, Patrick Tuttofuoco and Cohda's Richard Liddle.
